I grew up in Hermon, Maine and graduated from Hermon High School. I then attended UMO and graduated with my associate’s degree in Animal Medical Technology. I worked as a Veterinary Technician as well as an office manager for 9 years. In between working, I attended USM, and UNE working towards my teaching degree, specializing in Special Education. I am currently working on accreditation for the day care. I have moved to Step-Two on the Quality for Maine Quality Reating System. (5/2011)
In 2006 I was awarded a Certificate of Professional Achievement from The Maine Roads to Quality, Child Care and Early Education Career Development Center.
The Fun House Day Care/Preschool was named a Step-Two in Maine's Quality Rating System, Quality for Maine. Only programs that have met higher standards than licensing are eligible to receive this designation. We received this award because of our overall commitment to quality in our early care and education program. We offer a supporting environment for children to grow and develop, and it is an honor to receive state recognition for our efforts. Among the special quality features that helped us achieve this recognition are the following:
* More qualified teachers - more training in early childhood dvelopment
* A commitment to learning and to Maine's Early Childhood Learning Guidelines and Supporting Maine's Infants and Toddlers Guidlines for Learning and Development
* Planning to assure that daily activities are based on the individual needs of children
Our goal is to work with you to build your child's self-confidence, develop their social and emotional skills and instill a love for learning that will follow them the rest of their life.

I have lived in Hermon, Maine for over 20 years. I have a daughter named Casee who was born in 1988, a son name Liam who was born in 1995. I started at the Fun House Day Care in 2002 as an intern. At the end of the semester, Carrie could not live without me, so she hired me. I have an associates degree in Human Services with a concentration in young children. I run the Preschool at the Fun House Day Care and have 12 eager students who love to learn.

Originally from New Hampshire, attending NESCOM as a web design major. Employed at the fun house since Fall 2009.
